This is a great one for both protein content and also making your smoothie a bit thicker and creamier. Plain, nonfat yogurt can contain up to 14 grams of protein per cup.

7. Cacao Nibs

More of a chocolate fan? Cacao nibs are the next best thing to add to your smoothie and contain 4 grams of protein in every ounce.
